The dry production process was jointly developed by Showa Japan and Sony Japan. Since Sony’s electrolyte is solid and does not require the electrolyte resistance of aluminum-plastic film, an adhesive is used in the dry process of Showa Japan. The electrolytic resistance performance is relatively poor, which affects the service life of the lithium battery aluminum-plastic film to a certain extent. The thermal production process is an aluminum-plastic film product jointly developed by Japan DNP and Japan Nissan for the production of automotive batteries. It is superior to Showa Japan in terms of resistance to electrolysis.
Japan's Fujimori lithium battery aluminum-plastic film production process also uses Japan's DNP thermal technology. In 2011, Japan's Fujimori began to enter the Chinese market. But at present, Fujimori's products cannot be used to export batteries. The main reason is that the technology is copied from Japan's DNP, and export products will be restricted by patents.
At present, the aluminum-plastic film produced by domestic enterprises is mainly used for the production of lithium batteries in digital products, mainly due to technical limitations. At present, the domestically produced aluminum-plastic film has a short research and development time and the product quality is not stable. Therefore, domestic lithium battery manufacturers have not adopted domestically-produced aluminum-plastic film on a large scale.
1, Japan Showa lithium battery aluminum-plastic film production process
Showa Aluminum Plastic Film (ShowadenkoALF) was jointly developed and launched in 1999 with Sony Corporation of Japan. In 2001, it was led by Showa Denko and launched the second generation aluminum plastic film; it was promoted in the Chinese mainland market in 2003. Currently, ShowadenkoALF is in the polymer lithium-ion battery market. Occupy an important market share.
As the world's largest and most complete manufacturer of polymer lithium-ion battery materials, Showa Aluminum Plastic Film has absolute advantages in terms of raw material quality stability, supply continuity, and R&D technology.
The advantages of Showa aluminum-plastic film are: low cost, fast delivery; smooth and flat appearance, no trachoma or wrinkles; good deep drawing performance, which can meet the requirements of most polymer lithium ion batteries (matching the drawing depth of Showa deep drawing equipment) Up to 8~10mm); Heat sealing performance; Under proper temperature, pressure, and time conditions, Showa aluminum plastic film sealing strength, sealing insulation, and sealing are far superior to similar products; electrolyte resistance performance, Showa aluminum plastic The inner layer of the film is high-purity CPP, which has good resistance to electrolyte corrosion. Showa Denko aluminum-plastic film is widely used in polymer lithium-ion batteries such as MP3, mobile phones, tablet computers, handheld computers, model airplanes, UPS, electric bicycles, etc.
2, Japan DNP lithium battery aluminum plastic film production process
Japan’s DNP aluminum-plastic film production technology has been developed since 2001, and it has been produced with the dry method adopted by Japan’s Showa.
It can be seen from the schematic diagram of the two production processes of dry method and thermal method that the main difference between thermal method and dry method is that the thermal method uses MPP in the production process. MPP is a modified PP, also called acidic. PP and MPP have high heat bonding performance, so in the production of lithium battery aluminum plastic film, the adhesive between the aluminum foil layer and the CPP film may not be suitable.
